I’m sharing how we’ve reduced friction and, most importantly, have more time to do awesome work. After pinpointing several common pain points, we established and widely circulated a common set of code review principles for submitters and reviewers. We spend a significant part of our day doing code review in GitHub and Visual Studio Team Services, so we welcome anything that makes it faster, easier, and better. Some are fresh out of college, while others have been in the industry for more than 20 years, and we all came in with our own understanding and definition of “code review.” Our team has people from over 10 countries working across 8 time zones. The Mobile Center team is a diverse mix of engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers with varying professional backgrounds, experience, and countries of origin. The feature allows you to start each day with a clean slate, even if the automated suggestions will be there to help build up your day again in the morning.Visual Studio Mobile Center is now Visual Studio App Center. At the end of every day, tasks that have not been marked as complete automatically drop off the My Day list.Items you pull into My Day remain in their original list, making sure that you don’t lose track of anything.You can also manually drag tasks into the My Day list or type in new tasks that you need to get done.These include tasks that you created both in To Do and other connected apps such as Calendar, Outlook, or Teams. It will suggest tasks that you may want to get done today. The My Day list comes ready to go in To Do.
To Do can replace your morning scribbling and intelligently help you concentrate on what needs to get done today. You do this to keep them separate from the pile of other tasks that you have to do tomorrow, next week, and next month. If you are like many people, you may jot down a list of tasks. It’s likely that you spend at least some time at the start of your day thinking about what needs to be done.
